KUALA LUMPUR: Kayak activities reopen on the Phase 4 of Malaysia’s National Recovery Plan on 7 November 2021 at Varsity Lake.


According to The Covid-19 Pandemic Management Special Committee, Labuan, Negeri Sembilan, Pahang, Melaka, Selangor, Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya, Terengganu, Johor, Perlis, Perak, Penang, Sabah and Kedah will move to Phase 4 from Phase 3 under the National Recovery Plan (NRP) starting from 7 November 2021.


The kayak activity will reopen for the citizens in Universiti Malaya and also people outside the campus. Colleagues who decided to go back to the campus can participate in this activity with charges below RM10. Students of Universiti Malaya can get discount for the kayak fees by showing the matric card to the staff. The kayak and lifejacket will be provided from the staff of UM Kayak Sport and recreation central.


Parents who want to have family gathering can also bring their kids to learn who to kayaking. The minimum age limitation for kids is around 7-year-old. The staff will provide the lifejacket and it is safe to ride kayak for kids with the monitor of the parents and the staff.
