RM300 to UM undergraduate students as a gift

The Universiti Malaya’s undergraduate students got RM300 from MR.DIY.

KUALA LUMPUR (1 Nov): The cash aid, RM100, was given to the Universiti Malaya undergraduate students on 1 November through Touch ‘n Go eWallets. Another RM200 will be given out on 30 November and 30 December through the same platform.




The first RM100 was distributed to students through Touch ‘n Go eWallets on 1 of November 2021.

According to The Star, the reason for this cash aid program is aimed to help the students who make the transition back to campus smooth and without worry said MR DIY chief executive officer Adrian Ong.


RM300 is distributed by homegrown retailer MR DIY for each UM student, dubbed #DIY4UM, which is a collaboration between MR DIY and Universiti Malaya. A total of RM4.5 million cash aid for undergraduates program is implemented in the Touch ‘n Go eWallet platform.


Furthermore, the UM students who utilize the funds will be given RM10 cashback with a minimum spend of RM20 at MR DIY stores and MR DIY online stores. UM students can get up to RM30 cashback which is RM10 each in November, December, and January 2022.



UM undergraduate students who spend a minimum of RM20 at MR D.I.Y get Cashback up to RM30.
