Kuala Lumpur – Universiti Malaya held the 60th Convocation Ceremony physically from 20 to 27 November 2021 in Dewan Tunku Canselor after one year of delay.

According to the Universiti Malaya official announcement, this Convocation Ceremony is a delayed ceremony carried forward from 2020 due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic and is primarily initiated for the more than 6000 graduates that have completed their studies in 2020.
This convocation ceremony was held with strict adherence to the new norms and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). Only graduates who have completed two doses of vaccination will be allowed to attend the ceremony.
“So far it is very good, I have met a lot of friends and I enjoyed the convocation quite well. For me, this convocation ceremony is considered quite successful as they follow the SOP and practice social distance,” said Er Hui Mei, graduate from Faculty of Business and Accountancy.
“I’m quite happy because University Malaya is still able to organize a convocation ceremony during this post-pandemic. Although there are some restrictions such as parents cannot enter the hall, it is fine as we still get to gather here for the ceremony,” said Ng Yong Kean, graduate from Faculty of Business and Accountancy.
“I’m actually happy to be able to graduate in Dewan Tunku Canselor, University Malaya. It is a huge honor to me. I get to graduating together with my batchmate is a happiness to me,” said Nurul Amirah, graduate from diploma (accountancy).
Total of thirteen sessions of the 60th Convocation Ceremony will be streaming live via the official Facebook and YouTube.
